Summer Cohort
Instructors: P. MISHRA, B. BLINKENBURG,K. KERELUIK, L. TERRY
The Summer Cohort included CEP-800 Learning in School and other Settings, CEP-815 Technology and Leadership and CEP-822 Approaches to Educational Research these program was held at Michigan State Unversity for 2 weeks as a face to face, 4 weeks online and the final class on Campus. Our time spent in the classroom we explored various technologies and about learning and development.
Instructors for this cohort included Punya Mishra [email protected] Kristen Kereluik[email protected] Brandon Blinkenberg [email protected]

Just Shoot me
This was one of our first assignments. We were sent out to take a picture of ourselves in a situation that tells about who we are. I choose the College of Engineering because I teach Engineering classes and I participated in the Research Experience for Teachers (RET) Program 2010 summer at MSU.

Understanding Understanding
Students come to class with a large number of entrenched, well-developed naive conceptions and knowledge structures. These structures often interfere with what they are taught in school. Each group decided on a topic that we felt was taught over and over again to us but was really a myth, we then documented, researched the topic, interviewed people and videoed their responses, and then put a video presentation together. We each asked our interviewees (different sex and age) the same list of questions to hear their responses. We created a Website and Video of our findings on the misconception of a Raindrop.
This project was a fun and exciting way to display our learning’s on a specific topic. We were able to be as creative as we wanted and display it to our audience.
